We are having a special sale this weekend to help you kick start your holiday gift-making. We've got wonderful yarns in stock and patterns and project ideas to help you get started.

Check out our restock of Malabrigo Rasta in all sorts of delicious colors, and our stock of what is now probably the last to be available in the US stock of Naturwolle from Europe - this handspun bulky yarn is unique in that it each colorway is spun by an individual spinner from a batch of dyed fiber mixed together just for that specific batch of that specific colorway.

Also, Cascade is discontinuing their 128 Handpaints but we still have some instock. 128SW is a wonderful yarn for winter projects - it is soft and quick to knit or crochet and washable!!

And Cascade Magnum is wonderful for felted projects - super thick and felts like a charm, great for household accessory projects such as placemats, bowls, baskets.

Speaking of baskets, have you tried out our t-shirt yarn? We have a free pattern available with purchase.

We have about 100 new skeins in from MadelineTosh in some of their newest colorways; and a restock of many colors of Berroco Vintage, a great washable wool blend for scarves, hats, afghans and more.

And we've updated some of the classes information, with new dates. So read on....

Holiday Gift Making Sale!!
Starts TODAY!
10 % OFF
All Shop Merchandise
(except MadelineTosh yarns)

Just so you know, MadelineTosh yarns are excluded because we have so little - we just got in about 100 skeins of ToshSock, Pashmina, Prairie and MerinoDK and will not be getting in any more before the holidays.

Update on some of the new classes!
We've got crochet and knitting classes and a lot of one or two session workshops to get a head start on holiday gifts. Click on the class names to get all the details.

If you see a class or workshop you're interested in, but the dates don't work for you, call the shop in the afternoon and talk to Sharon; we may be able to work out some bonus sessions or private lesson versions to get you going for the holidays!

Crochet Along Afghan: this is an ongoing workshop that will meet several times a month, at the request of some of the current participants. Feel free to join in any time; there are Tuesday sessions and Saturday sessions. Unlike our regular classes,  you don't have to come every time. Sharon is the instructor and she can probably bring you up to speed as far as what you you need, so give her a call. She is in the shop most weekday afternoons, and closes most Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Artfelt Felted scarfthe flyer has the wrong dates; this workshop is scheduled for Saturday Nov 1 & Sunday Nov 2. The scarves will actually be made on Saturday; if you can't come on Sunday, you can still make your scarf and either take it home to felt yourself, or pick it up after Sunday at the shop.

Weaving Sticks : the flyer has the wrong dates; this workshop is scheduled for Saturday Nov 8.

And one more class: we are re-offering Sharon's Crocheted Christmas Stockings starting on Monday, December 1 and meeting again on the 8th and 15th: the attached flyer is from the previous session and has the wrong dates.

We may have a few more classes, or workshops scheduled, but we will not have another session of Intro Knitting before the end of the year. Private lessons are available for Knitting or Crochet.
2014 Wounded Warrior Shawl Project
has been a huge success. We have over 2 dozen beautiful scarves, shawls and wraps, being blocked and packed up for delivery to the local Semper Fi group. Like last year, they will give our contributions to female wounded warriors and to spouses and caregivers of male wounded vets to wear to the Semper Fi formal event in November.

If you are still working on shawls, feel free to drop them off at the shop, there will be a need for more next year. If you didn't make one yet, you can still make one (or more) and donate it. We still have some vendor donated yarns we can sign out to you.

To everyone who contributed this year, thank you thank you thank you.

Shop Sale
We have had some general inquiries, but no one has made a commitment yet, so if you are considering a career change, want to be your own boss, want to make your beloved hobby more than just a hobby, or just don't want to see Huntsville without a real local yarn shop, send me an email, or call me to talk about the possibilities. Shop staff can give you my direct office phone number.

The shop has been listed through a business broker, but I would rather sell it to someone who loves yarn and knitting / crocheting / spinning / weaving, in other words, a fiber enthusiast.

I have made some slight changes to the closing schedule. If the shop is not under contract with a buyer by the end of the year, we will remain open throughout January, cut back to 3 or 4 days a week in February, and then close down at the end of the month. There will NOT be a going out of business sale. Remaining inventory will be journalled into an online shop and sold that way.
